    There was actually a HUGE functionality hole that this change addresses. The @replies tab was meant as a way to see other people who were talking to you, yet if I wrote a tweet that said “Hey @carly check this out” you wouldn’t see it. The tab used to show ONLY messages that started with your name. So the only way to see all the messages addressed to you was to do a manual search of your twitter name. Now the tab shows every mention of your name, no matter where it lies in the tweet.
