		<description>I have noticed that some sites I read are running contests for most comments during a set time period. 
In my opinion this often backfires as the loyal fans are being pushed aside in favor of someone who all of a sudden starts leaving multiple comments just to receive the prize.

This is also evident on sites which list most top commentors. 
Since the number of commments someone leaves isn&#039;t related to how relevant the comments are getting on the comment list is easy for a comment spammer.</description>
