marathon ftw! You rock Laura. No doubt, good things take time. The good news is that in terms of internet marketing and establishing social proof for the value you can offer…the marathon doesn’t even have to be that long So many of us are stuck on instant gratification…it really pays to look at the long game.

It’s good advice. Just look at the results that authors like Gary, Seth, and Chris Brogan get because they have spent the time to build their blogs into long term media assets.

While authors using the old marketing struggle to make sales, these guys just leverage their tribe by publishing a blog post and sending a few tweets andf sell TONS of copies. But it’s only because they “ran the marathon” first.

Great reminder, Laura – I have had trouble in the past with “sprinting” only to burn out or undercut long-term growth. I’ve since come to realize that since my business is “long-term” so, too, should be my mindset and strategy with growth.
