Hi Hector,
interesting method. I’ve got two question. 1. When adding my feed to ping.fm, they tell me that I don’t need to have an account with Superfeedr. Why do you suggest having an account with them ? 2. I created an account with Superfeedr, but it looks completely different from your screenshots, especially I don’t find a dashboard where to add my feed. Can you help me with that please ?
Thanks in advance
Oliver

Hey Oliver..
This is just GREAT!! – They changed the whole thing. Well, I just logged into superfeedr and you can find your dashboard by clicking on your username on the top right-hand corner.
I read that message before but my social networks weren’t being updated automatically so I just went and created an account, and it worked.
Hope that helps

I’m afraid I’m stuck, Hector. I got the feed entered at Ping.fm, but as Oliver indicated, the Superfeedr site is totally different from what you described. I created an account there, but can’t figure out what to do next. It appears that I’m supposed to create a “hub,” but I’m not sure…even the FAQ section is too advanced for me.
Thank you in advance for helping me get this set up at Superfeedr.com.

Hey Elizabeth,
Yea, unfortunately they changed the entire site but it works exactly the same.
The only things you need to create is a PING.FM account for your social networks and ADD your blog’s FEED, & a SuperFeedr account where you will also add your blog’s FEED.
You can find the ADD A FEED option by clicking on your USER-NAME on the top right hand corner inside your SuperFeedr Account, and clicking on DASHBOARD.
Hope this helps..

When I go into my Superfeedr account and click on my name, there is no DASHBOARD option: the four options are: Create Hub, Analytics, Account, and Log Out. I cannot find anywhere to add my feed.
I found a page that is supposed to explain about adding a feed, but it is like Greek to me…it makes no sense: http://superfeedr.com/documentation#xmpp_adding_feed.
I’m so sorry to be so ignorant about this, but I really am normally fairly comfortable with this kind of thing. I just can’t figure this out.

Hey Elizabeth.. don’t worry about it :0)
I just set up a new account 3 minutes ago and I can see the DASHBOARD option, so I suggest you create a new account as a Publisher and ditch the old one.
…maybe something went wrong when creating the account.
Weird stuff.. hope that helps

Hi Hector
I love the article. I am a bit of a noob to blogging. I do have twitter, facebook and LinkedIn accounts and they already have my blog posts going to them. Which of the other sites connected to ping.fm would you recommend me getting involved with?
Thanks for you article
Ian

Thanks Ian,
I recommend all of them because of the links that you’ll generate, but I realize that’s time consuming..
The ones I use are:
Twitter
Facebook
Facebook Fanpage
Ning
Linked In
Tumblr
Identi.ca
Plunk
FriendFeed
Jaku
Blogger
Wordpress.com
Delicious
Photobucket
Google Buzz
Hope that helps.

I did create a new account as a publisher and am still getting the same options. I’ve written to Superfeedr support to get some help.

This is what I just got from Superfeedr.com support:
Elizabeth,
I’m sorry, but Superfeedr is not a service intended at end users like you. We’re an infrastructure service, so I’m not sure why you thought we could help you with your issue
You should get in touch with the ping.fm team, as they will be able to help you.
Thanks,

Hey Hector! I am completely flattered you did a video for Elisabeth and me at youtube! Thank you so much. If I understood your guest blog at Laura Roeder´s blog I was already feeding my social media (wordpress, blogger, fb and linked in) through ping.fm. So the larger feed from superfeedr was not necessary any more. Thanks for clarifying this and thank you for you generous gift of teaching me so valuable things. Regards from Berlin/Alemania – Andrea – mil gracias!

Hector, you are awesome! Not many people would be so generous as to take the time to do this for us, and I really, really appreciate it. I’m good to go now, and this will save me lots of time in the future.

Wow! Thank you both for this wonderful video!

Hi Hector!
You did an awesome job on this guest post AND it was incredibly thoughtful of you to do the follow up video for your readers.
My question: I use feedburner for my blog’s feed. Do you know if ping.fm’s superfeedr feature will work for it? The Superfeedr site has this notice:

Thanks!
