About Laura Roeder

Laura Roeder is the founder of Paperbell, an all-in-one platform where coaches run their whole business: website, scheduling, payments, contracts, and client management in one place. She started Paperbell in 2020 with her husband and cofounder, Chris. Today more than 5,000 coaches use it, and the platform has processed over $47 million in coaching payments.

Laura has been an entrepreneur since age 22. She founded LKR Social Media in 2009, teaching business owners how to market themselves online, and helped create Marie Forleo’s B-School. She was named one of the top 100 entrepreneurs under 30 in 2011, 2013, and 2014, and spoke about entrepreneurship at the White House.

In 2014, she launched MeetEdgar, a social media automation tool. She bootstrapped it to millions in annual revenue with a fully remote team, then sold the company at the end of 2021.

Laura writes and speaks about bootstrapping, building profitable software companies without investors, and running a seven-figure business in 10 to 15 hours a week. Originally from Austin, Texas, she now lives in Brighton, England.
